We had a very pleasant experience staying at Sounds of Silence with our pups. We loved how pet friendly the cabin is with the gravel side yard and various gates cordoning off certain parts of the decK.
The main living room area’s high ceilings and access to the screened porch was perfect for us. I loved being able to step outside to take in the beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and enjoy the outdoor space. And the screened balcony was, hands down, my favorite part.
The only thing I did want to point out is that the kitchen is a bit outdated with appliances but stocked with the necessary (basic) cooking requirements with the exception of spices.
This is a wonderful cabin with plenty of room for 2 couples to enjoy comfortably. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are on the same level with plenty of comfortable seating inside and outside. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. My only hesitation in highly recommending this cabin is that it might not be available the next time we want to go back to the mountains! Sliding Rock is always professional and we highly recommend them also.

The cabin was beautifully appointed with a new second bath and fenced yard for the pups! The setting is very private.
We have rented cabins from Sliding Rock many times and this cabin was our absolute favorite! The creek,within steps of the cabin, was the highlight! The cabin was very accommodating with almost everything you need! No cell service but WiFi available. The road is a great hike with beautiful views. The next door neighbors were very nice to chat with. Check out downtown Ellijay shops and restaurants. The train from Blue Ridge was fun too! We will definitely be back in the future!

Great view and very cute well decorated clean cabin. Beyond pet friendly as always and the gated deck and fenced in yard were great!!! Road to cabin is gravel, but easy as promised of you're comfortable with mountain driving and no 4WD needed. Only thing is I wish it were more private on a less busy road, but the view is that good that ot attracts lots of other people and cabins. You do forget about them rocking in the rocking chair gazing out.
The cabin was clean and homey. We loved sitting on the porch just listening to the creek and the birds. We had a very relaxing week.
It is challenging to get down the lane to the cabin. Plan your arrival while there's still daylight.
We love staying at Highland Cottage! It was our second time in this cabin and it’s nestled in an awesome secluded spot! Love all Ellijay and blue ridge have to offer. Sliding rock cabins are amazing and have always been helpful if needed anything, we’ll be back!
Wonderful place so close to the water. There was fishing, hot tubbing, game playing, grilling and pure relaxation!
